Day 1: Hanoi Arrival (D)

Upon arrival at Hanoi's Noi Bai International Airport, you will be greeted by your guide and transferred to your hotel. This is Vietnam's capital and celebrated its anniversary of 1,000 years in 2010. Historical emphasis on the arts and learning stipulates that buildings in Hanoi remain small, simple and in harmony with nature. You will have the afternoon at your leisure before an evening welcome dinner at a local restaurant and an overnight stay in Hanoi.

Day 2: The French Colonial Style Hanoi City tour (B,L)

On day two, you will visit the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum (where the preserved body of "Uncle Ho" may be viewed), his nearby house on stilts, the lotus-shaped One Pillar Pagoda, Quan Thanh Temple, the Temple of Literature, Hoan Kiem Lake, Ngoc Son Temple, and other lesser-known museums. Following lunch at a local restaurant, you will enjoy a one-hour cyclo ride around Hanoi's Old Quarter. Then you will be transferred to a Traditional Medication Center with 120 mins Traditional Therapy including Soaking in Herbal Basin, Acupressure massage, warm herbal compress and light meal. In the late afternoon, you will enjoy a traditional Vietnamese water puppet show. Overnight in Ha Noi.

Day 3: Halong Bay – Lan Ha Bay & overnight on Heritage Cruises ( B/L/D)

  • 8:00 – 8:30 You will be greeted at your hotel to take the new highway to Got Ferry Terminal, Cat Hai Town, Haiphong City. You will travel on the longest bridge in Southeast Asia and be greeted at our lounge before boarding.
  • 12:30 Board the Heritage Cruises boat and enjoy a welcome drink as you receive a cruise briefing, safety instructions and check in to your suite. Lunch is served at L’Indochine Restaurant.
  • 12:40 Cruise to Da Chong islet, where you can see a heritage lighthouse built by the French more than 100 years ago. After lunch, cruise to Gia Luan Lagoon where limestone karst formations rise out of the sea. This quiet bay is untouched and remote, as not many cruise ships visit.
  • 15:30 The cruise vessel approaches the Ba Trai Dao or Three Peach beaches in Lan Ha Bay, a natural frontier between the provinces of Halong and Haiphong. This secret hideaway has beaches, caves, and coves, plus the spectacular natural beauty of about 400 islands. Guests can try kayaking or simply swim in the clear waters of the bay.
  • 17:30 Back on Heritage Cruises, enjoy life aboard the vessel or in your suite, and with a cocktail in hand watch the sunset over the Gulf of Tonkin.
  • 18:30 Activities include afternoon tea and the chef will lead a Vietnamese cookery class.
  • 19:30 A memorable dining experience will be offered at the restaurant, with local food in an intimate and romantic setting.
  • 21:30 Enjoy evening views of the bay at the bar on the top deck. Try your hand squid fishing. The bars are open until late.

Day 4: Halong Bay – Hanoi ( Brunch)

  • 6:15 Start the day with a session of Vovinam on the sundeck,
  • 6:45 The guests will enjoy a light breakfast on board.
  • 7:15 Head off in a bamboo boat to explore the Dark and Bright Cave
  • 9:00-9:30 Return to the ship for checkout.
  • 10:00 Enjoy brunch while cruising back to harbor.
  • 11:00 Return to Got Harbour and relax at our lounge while your transportation arrives.

Arrive in Hanoi around 5 a.m and taken to a nearby restaurant for breakfast and morning coffee. Then depart from Hanoi for Halong Bay, arriving at the jetty around 12:30 pm. You will embark on a junk cruise on the bay as soon as you arrive. Have lunch. Travel through the enchanted bay. Wake up to see the sunrise, go swimming before having breakfast. Explore Sung Sot cave (8–9 a.m.) after breakfast, then swim and unwind at Soi Sim beach. Today you’ll travel to My Son UNESCO World Heritage Site. As you admire the temple and tower complex, your guide will offer interesting insights into its history and spiritual context. In the afternoon, we continue to visit Hoi An Ancient town. Between the 15th and 19th centuries, Hoi An known then as ‘Faifo’, was a prosperous trading port, attracting Chinese, Japanese, Dutch, Portuguese, and Spanish ships amongst others. Today, this World Heritage ancient town is recognized for its well-preserved architecture, pedestrian-only streets, and distinctive local cuisine, allowing visitors a glimpse of its illustrious past. Hoi An’s narrow lanes are ideal for a guided walking tour of its many atmospheric sights including the old merchant houses with influences from Chinese, Japanese, and Vietnamese architecture; the 400-year-old Japanese Covered Bridge, first built in the 1590s by the Japanese community to link them with the Chinese quarters across the stream; the Assembly Hall of the Chaozhou Chinese Congregation with its intricate woodcarvings; and the colorful market with stalls brimming with local specialties including silk, which can be turned into fashionable garments within a day or two.

This also offers a perfect opportunity for people-watching, to get a better idea of the daily activities of the locals. Conclude the day by watching an entertaining water puppet performance, a uniquely northern Vietnamese art form said to have originated in the flooded rice fields of the Red River Delta. The show uses colourful wooden puppets to depict scenes of rural life and episodes of national history set to music.

Upon arrival at Noi Bai Airport, after clearing all customs procedures, please proceed to the exit gate and look for your driver who will be waiting at the lobby, holding the signboard with your name on it. Day 1: Hanoi Arrival (D)
Depart Hanoi for a 2hr drive to the Tho Ha Village in Nho Quan to begin a leisurely 5-15km (3-10mi) biking trip passing by sleepy villages and picturesque countryside landscapes. Continue to Dong Tam Hamlet to participate in some engaging agricultural activities such as catching crabs, fishing and transplanting and watering vegetables. After an hour or so, return to the hamlet in time for a cooking class and lunch with a local family where sweet potato cakes and grilled fish are on the menu. After lunch, board a rowboat at the Nha Le Pier and enjoy a trip to the 900m (2,953ft)-deep Galaxy Grotto, so named for the sea of stalactites growing from the ceiling above, like so many stars. The grotto is also home to a large bat colony which nests near the end of the grotto. Return to Hanoi in the late afternoon. Overnight in Hanoi.
Day 3: Hanoi - Tho Ha Village - Galaxy Grotto (B)
Today, depart from Hanoi for a 2.5-hour drive to Tuan Chau harbour via the new highway. You will be welcomed aboard and set sail through the bay while lunch is served. You will pass through the magical bay, where thousands of sculpted limestone islands rise from the waves like dragons' teeth. After lunch, you will take a short trek to a nearby summit for a panoramic view of the bay dotted with golden sails, and then go swimming on a quiet beach or sunbathing on the sundeck. Later in the afternoon, you will visit an interesting fishing village with the opportunity to interact with fishermen who have been living in the bay for almost three generations. 08:30 AM Our local guide will meet you at the hotel lobby. Transfer by Ecar to the pier and then take a boat to the estuary. Experience the daily fishing activity of the local fishermen, and try to cast the net with their assistance. Move deep into the water coconut forest in Cam Thanh Village by a locally handmade bamboo basket boat. Listen to a brief introduction on Cua Dai about the history of this unique area. Fishermen will show you how to catch the crabs and make origami with a water coconut leaf. Split into smaller groups for a short basket boat race. Then, visit a local bamboo craftsman’s house; get an insight into their daily life and the different stages of preparing & making proper bamboo furniture or a bamboo house. Enjoy the lunch at a local restaurant. Transfer back to the hotel by E-car after the meal.

On the way, we can make some stops to see how they wave the dried water-hyacinth to make many products: baskets, bags, hats, wallets, shoes... stop at local garden enjoy some cups of tea when listening to the traditional music . Then, the rowing boat will take you deeper into the countryside on smaller canals to enjoy the peaceful time. Back to our boat to go across one of the longest rivers in the world, Mekong River, to come to An Bình Island. Travel on a handmade canal to Ut Trinh home & have an optional lunch. Start your sightseeing tour of Angkor area we spend a full day exploring the wondrous ancient ruins with the South Gate of Angkor Thom, which is famous for its series of colossal human faces carved in stone, the impressive Bayon Temple, the Royal Enclosure, Phimeanakas, the Elephant Terrace, the Terrace of the Leper King and the largest as well as the most complete temple of Angkor Wat. This architectural masterpiece was constructed in the 12th century and covers an area of about 210 hectares. We stroll around this massive edifice, seeing the many galleries with columns, libraries, pavilions, courtyards and ponds full of water reflecting the towering temple and the jungle covered temple of Ta Prohm is an incredible sight. There are enormous fig trees and gigantic creepers which embrace themselves in the stone foundations of the structure giving the impression of man's creation being reclaimed by the powerful forces of nature. Enjoy the sunset view from Bakeng Hill then transfer back to the hotel.
Day 12: Angkor Temple Full Day (B)
Early in the morning, we transfer to the plateau of Phnom Kulen. With its numerous sacred places, Phnom Kulen is Cambodia’s most revered mountain. It was here that Jayavarman ll was proclaimed god-king and the first capital of the Angkor era that was to follow was founded. On our tour through the lush jungle and remote village,s we explore Phnom Kulen’s treasures: the riverbed carvings of One Thousand Lingas, a spectacular 30-metre high waterfall with a natural swimming pool, and a mountain pagoda housing a large reclining Buddha hewn out from the natural Kulen sandstone. You will also visit the mysterious animal sculptures hidden in the dense forest. The way there is partly by motor taxi and on foot through the forest. You will have time for lunch and time for a refreshing swim at the waterfall. Overnight in Siemreap.

Here, you’ll visit the temples dedicated to the emperors of the Le Dynasty and the remains of the ancient Hoa Lu Citadel. This place creates the cultural identity of the legend about the foundation of Dai Co Viet ( an old name of Vietnam). After that, you can take a half-hour walk into the surrounding limestone karst hills for spectacular views of the area. Traveling to Hang Mua, you will wallow in a wonderful landscape of mountains, valleys, and rivers. Some travelers getting to Hang Mua (Mua Cave) would rather love this stunning view than Halong Bay. It’s a fair climb up hundreds of steps (500) that lead you to a temple on top of a hill; the spectacular views from Hang Mua over Tam Coc and Ninh Binh’s stunning countryside are well worth the effort. In the morning, you will take a half-day city tour to visit outside of Saigon Notre-Dame Basilica, a neo-Roman cathedral built by the colonial French with materials entirely imported from Marseilles, Saigon Central Post Office, which was designed and constructed in the early 20th Century by the famous French architect Gustave Eiffel. Then, visit the War Remnants Museum, which features an extensive collection of exhibits including weaponry, photos, and documentation on Vietnam’s wars with the French and Americans. You also have free time to go shopping at Ben Thanh Market before transferring to the airport to fly to Danang. Day 3: Ho Chi Minh Half-day City Tour  - Danang (B)
Drive 45 minutes from Danang to Ba Na Hills. In the old-growth forest, there are 543 species of flora and 256 species of fauna, including many rare animals such as the Crested Argus, Asian Black Bear, and northern buffed-cheeked gibbon. Located at an elevation of 1,487 meters, the temperature of this place is mostly cool year-round. Arrive at Ba Na Hills Station, where you have a chance to ride on a modern system of cable cars. Get a bird's-eye view of nature, which is strikingly beautiful, while enjoying the feeling of flying in the blue sky among the clouds and wind. Next, visit some old French villas as well as a suspension bridge, Nui Chua, and Mountain Peak. Experience the feeling of walking in the clouds when you walk on the Golden Bridge, which is supported by giant hands at a height of over 1,400m above sea level. Today, this World Heritage ancient town is recognized for its well-preserved architecture, pedestrian-only streets, and distinctive local cuisine, allowing visitors a glimpse of its illustrious past. Hoi An’s narrow lanes are ideal for a guided walking tour of its many atmospheric sights including old merchant houses with influences from Chinese, Japanese, and Vietnamese architecture; the 400-year-old Japanese Covered Bridge, first built in the 1590s by the Japanese community to link them with the Chinese quarters across the stream; the Assembly Hall of the Chaozhou Chinese Congregation with its intricate woodcarvings; and the colorful market with stalls brimming with local specialties including silk, which can be turned into fashionable garments within a day or two before transfer to Danang airport for your flight to Hanoi. Day 5: Hoi An Walking Tour - Hanoi (B)
Explore the charming city of Hanoi, often referred to as the ‘Paris of the East’, with its yellow ochre colonial buildings, tree-lined boulevards, and scenic lakes.
Start by visiting Ho Chi Minh's House, a simple wooden house in a tranquil setting where Ho Chi Minh lived and worked. Some of his belongings are on display, and visitors can walk up the steps to see his bedroom. Continue to the 6th-century Tran Quoc Pagoda, the oldest pagoda in Hanoi, located on a small island in West Lake. Then visit the Temple of Literature, Vietnam’s first national university, built in the late 11th century. The picturesque temple is an example of well-preserved traditional Vietnamese architecture and is featured on the back of the 100,000 Vietnamese dong banknote.
In the afternoon, visit the Museum of Ethnology and then drive back to central Hanoi for a 45-minute cyclo tour through the famed Old Quarter known for its ‘36 streets of 36 wares’ named after the original 36 artisan guilds that date as far back as the 13th century. Then stop at a vintage coffee shop, where you sit on very small chairs, as is the special style of Hanoi, to start the day by tasting a cup of Vietnamese coffee. This also offers a perfect opportunity for people-watching, to get a better idea of the daily activities of the locals.
Conclude your Hanoi day tour by watching an entertaining water puppet performance, a uniquely northern Vietnamese art form said to have originated in the flooded rice fields of the Red River Delta. The hotel is located in the old quarter of the city with its nice narrow commercial streets and within walking distance of Hoan Kiem Lake and Dong Xuan Market, both of which are some of Hanoi's landmarks.

For this morning's city tour, we drive to Ho Chi Minh’s complex, including the mausoleum of the nation’s founder and leader. Here, large crowds gather to pay there respects to the man they simply call Uncle Ho as they silently file past his glass sarcophagus. As you cruise the magical bay, you will notice thousands of sculpted limestone islands rising from the waves like dragons' teeth. Later in the afternoon, you'll visit a fishing village with the opportunity to interact with fishermen who have been living in the bay for almost three generations. Back on board, you'll enjoy cocktails or a cooking class while watching the sunset, and later you can unwind at a restaurant with a lavish dinner. My Son is the former capital of the ancient Cham civilization that ruled Central Vietnam from the second to the thirteenth century. Their religion was primarily derived from Indian Hinduism. My Son is considered to be one of the best-preserved Cham structures in Vietnam. The complex is comprised of seventy Hindu-like towers and temples dating from the second century. This site is a must-see for those people who are interested in architecture and ancient civilizations, and it is now one of five UNESCO World Heritage sites in Vietnam. Day 6: Hue - My Son - Hoi An (B/L/D)
From the 16th to 18th centuries, Hoi An was a thriving international commercial port for Chinese, Dutch, French, Japanese, Portuguese, and Arab traders. Today, Hoi An is a quaint riverside town, popular with tourists for its eclectic architecture, tailors shops, and numerous cafes. You will enjoy a half-day walking tour through the narrow winding streets of the Ancient Quarter, visiting Chua Ong Pagoda, the Chinese Assembly Halls, the 200-year-old Tam Ky ancestral house, and the Japanese Bridge. Following the tour there will be free time for shopping, ordering some fast service tailor-made clothing, or simply relaxing. You will stay overnight in Hoi An.
Day 7: Hoi An Ancient Town (B/L)
In the morning, you will transfer to the airport for a flight to HCMC. In the afternoon, you will have a private tour of Ho Chi Minh City, the country's commercial center and home to a growing number of upscale restaurants and shops. You'll visit the Reunification Palace, the Opera House, and the Hotel de Ville. If you desire, you can visit the powerful War Remnants Museum. Later, explore colorful outdoor markets and Dong Khoi Street, the city's main shopping boulevard, with fashionable boutiques and accessories designed by up-and-coming Vietnamese designers. There are also hill tribe crafts, high-quality linens and housewares to be found before you settle in for an overnight stay in HCMC.
Day 8: Hoi An - Danang - Ho Chi Minh City (B/L)
You will leave HCMC and head for lush My Tho where you will board a private boat. You will cruise through the green vegetation of the canals to reach an orchard, where guests are treated to a delicious lunch in a local restaurant in the heart of the Mekong, complete with succulent tropical fruits. You will also visit the Dong Tam snake farm that breeds snakes for (among other things) snake wine before heading back to HCMC for an overnight stay.
Day 9: Mekong Delta Excursion (B)
In the morning you will enjoy a half-day private excursion to the Cu Chi Tunnels. The tunnels consist of more than 200kilometers of underground tunnels. This main axis system has many branches connecting to underground hideouts, shelters, and entrances to other tunnels. The network included innumerable trap doors, specially constructed living areas, storage facilities, weapons factories, field hospitals, command centers and kitchens. Today the remaining tunnels have become a major tourist attraction giving the visitor a unique experience and a feel of what underground life was like during the U.S.-Vietnam War. You will have free time in the afternoon and you will stay one final night in HCMC.

Morning: In the morning, take a half day to visit Ho Chi Minh Complex which features the life of Ho Chi Minh, the nation’s founder. At the complex, visit the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, the colonial Presidential Palace, the One Pillar Pagoda. Visit the Temple of Literature, known as the first university of Vietnam built in 1070 by the Ly Dynasty to honor Confucius, sages and outstanding Vietnamese scholars.
Afternoon: continue the tour to the Museum of Ethnology, Hoan Kiem Lake and Ngoc Son Temple located on an islet in the lake. Hoan Kiem Lake is the center point of Hanoi and home to a rare endangered giant turtle species. Its name “Returned Sword” comes from a legend of a sacred sword being lent to an ancient Vietnamese King by a holy turtle from the lake and later returned to the turtle. Free and overnight in Hanoi.
Day 2: Hanoi Full Day Tour (B/L)
You will be met upon arrival at Hanoi airport and transferred to your hotel. Standard Check in at 2 pm. In the afternoon, you’re free to walk around to visit local markets and Hanoi's Old Town, known for its 36 streets and former artisan guilds. Overnight in Hanoi.
Day 1: Hanoi Arrival
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure by private vehicle to Hoa Lu, the ancient capital of Vietnam under the Dinh dynasty (968-980) and at the beginning of the previous Le dynasty (980-1009). Here, you’ll visit the temples dedicated to emperors of the Le Dynasty and the remains of the ancient Hoa Lu Citadel. This place creates the cultural identity of the legend about the foundation of Dai Co Viet ( an old name of Vietnam). After that, you can take a half-hour walk into the surrounding limestone karst hills for spectacular views of the area. In the afternoon, you will embark on a sampan for a beautiful ride on the Ngo Dong River. Along the water, in the middle of the rice fields, you can admire the extraordinary landscapes of numerous limestone peaks with tormented shapes covered with lush vegetation. This is the reason why this place is called “Halong Bay on land”. Cycling around the idyllic village to explore the sceneries. Back to the bus to return to Hanoi
Day 3: Hanoi - Ninh Binh - Hanoi (B/L/D)
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure by private car for Ha Long Bay through the extensive landscapes of the Red River Delta. Arrival at Ha Long Bay around noon. You’ll be warmly welcomed by Cruises receptionists at the International Tuan Chau harbor. Enjoy lunch in the restaurant. Check in to rest in the room or get on the cruise's roof to relax, savor the scenery, and hunt for beautiful photos of Lan Ha Bay. There is nothing better than a morning waking up in the middle of the sea, watching the sunrise, and enjoying the fresh air. You’ll take part in Tai Chi instructions on the sundeck in 30 minutes. Have breakfast and enjoy the magnificent beauty of Lan Ha Bay while the cruise takes you to visit the bay. Brunch is served while back to the harbor. Return to the harbor and move back to Hanoi. Pick up your luggage at the hotel and relax until your transfer to Noi Bai International Airport to fly to Da Nang City Arrive in Da Nang, welcome by our guide, and transfer to the hotel in Danang
Day 5: Halong Bay - Hanoi - Danangl (B/Br)
08:00: Our guide pick you up at your hotel lobby and transfer you to Cam Thanh Fishing Village. 09:30: Transfer to Cam Thanh village by car or boat on the way, meet local fishermen and experience the daily life
10:00 Take a bamboo basket boat on the Cam Thanh water coconut forest and have a brief introduction to the history there. 11:00 Join local fishermen on the river and enjoy the hands-on experience of round net and cast net fishing. Learn to paddle the unique Vietnamese bamboo basket boat and join in a basketboat race. Explore the now peaceful coconut waterways of a past war. Go catch the crabs and coconut mussels.

Morning, you’ll proceed to Ba Na Hills and ride a cable car up to the summit. Arrive at the cable car station. Sitting in the cabin, in midair, looking upon the endless trees of the forest. Experiencing the pristine ecological system of the Ba Na mountain will leave you with a sense of unforeseeable discovery. Visit the Le Jardin, old wineries, remains of French Villas and Linh Ung pagoda with a 27m high Buddha statue. Leave Le Jardin for Gare Debay, the second cable car station, to go to the top of Ba Na Visit and play games at the Fantasy Park- Ba Na Hills Fantasy Park- the third largest indoor amusement park in the world (only some free games depending on Ba Na policy). Conquer the Peak of Chua Mountain at a height of 1,487m. Enjoy the panoramic view of Da Nang from the top of Ba Na Hills. In the afternoon, return to the cable car station and back to Hoi An. Day 7: Danang - Ba Na Hills - Golden Bridge (B)

Day 8: Danang - Hue (B)
After breakfast, you will board a boat on the poetic Perfume River. Thien Mu Pagoda will be the first stop of the day. You will have a great view of the Perfume River and surrounding areas. From there you can easily go to the Tomb of King Tu Duc and Tomb of King Minh Mang, and then the Tomb of King Khai Dinh. In the afternoon, transfer to the airport for the flight to HCM. Overnight in HCMC.

Morning, you’ll take the flight to Da Nang. Arrive in Da Nang, transfer to the hotel in Hoi An for check-in. In the afternoon, we continue to visit Hoi An Ancient Town. Between the 15th and 19th centuries, Hoi An, known then as ‘Faifo’, was a prosperous trading port, attracting Chinese, Japanese, Dutch, Portuguese, and Spanish ships amongst others. Today, this World Heritage ancient town is recognized for its well-preserved architecture, pedestrian-only streets, and distinctive local cuisine, allowing visitors a glimpse of its illustrious past. Hoi An’s narrow lanes are ideal for a guided walking tour of its many atmospheric sights including the old merchant houses with influences from Chinese, Japanese, and Vietnamese architecture; the 400-year-old Japanese Covered Bridge, first built in the 1590s by the Japanese community to link them with the Chinese quarters across the stream; the Assembly Hall of the Chaozhou Chinese Congregation with its intricate woodcarvings; and the colorful market with stalls brimming with local specialties including silk, which can be turned into fashionable garments within a day or two.
